Stable Runners For Parkes On Sunday

Damien Lane will saddle up three runners to the Parkes race meeting on Sunday, May 17, the weather is predicted to be fine racing on a good three with the rail in the true position.
The first of the stable runners Lucky Cash will come out in race two in a maiden plate over 1400 m with Greg Ryan aboard jumping from a wide 16 barrier.
Lucky Cash is a four-year-old gelding having start number 21 with five placings earning prize-money in excess of $18,000 last time out he raced at Bathurst on May 11 finishing third of 11 over 1400 m with Cody Nestor aboard arriving one and a half lengths behind the winner in a time of 1:24.26.
The second stable runner Spinning Gold will come out in the Parkes Cup over 1600 m with Greg Ryan aboard jumping from barrier nine in the field of nine.
Spinning Gold is a four-year-old gelding having start number 17 with three wins and eight placings earning prize-money in excess of $53,000, recent efforts have been at Taree on April 4 finishing first of 7 over 1614 with Roy L McCabe landing the prize by 5.3 lengtgs, and was last seen at Gosford on a heavy 10 over 1600 m finishing second of eight with Roy L McCabe, the pilot arriving 4 lengths behind the winner on that occasion.
The final stable runner will come out in race eight in a BM 55 handicap with Bench Star to be ridden by Roy L McCabe jumping from barrier six in a field of 14.
Bench Star is a six-year-old gelding having start number 50 with six wins and 11 placings earning prize-money in excess of $109,000, recent efforts have been at Wellington on March 28 finishing first of 10 with Greg Ryan aboard over 1400 m landing the prize by 3 1/2 lengths and was last seen at Muswellbrook on a heavy 10 in a BM 60 with Roy L McCabe the pilot arriving 11 lengths behind the winner sixth of six on that occasion.
