Race two at the Scone meeting on 15th March, saw Damien Lanes Spinning  Gold participate in the maiden handicap over 900 m jumping from barrier six, ridden by Chris O'Brien.

On settling Spinning Gold settled one of the fence in fifth position, at all times in contact with leading bunch, coming to the turn of the Sprint Spinning Gold had slipped back a  position to be back in sixth place, looking for a way out.

Into the straight the 3-yo gelding found clear running and went to the line to narrowly go down by 1/2 a length to Lullaby Baby.

A promising start to the preparation for connections.
