Scone, For Stable Runners On Tuesday

Mar 24, 2014

Tuesday, 25th of March will see Damien Lane make his way to the Scone race meeting on a dead 4 track with two runners.

The first of which is in race 2 in a maiden plate over 900 m, Spinning Gold is having his second start for the preparation to be ridden by Chris O'Brien jumping from barrier five.

The three-year-old Waterford Road gelding trialled at Gosford early March, winning the trial by 3/4 of a length over 900m , and last time out with Chris at the helm Spinning Gold ran second, 1/2 a length off the eventual winner on that occasion.

Although his second up form has not added a result he seems to be in good order for this event.

Stable mate Lucky Cash will take his place in the third event with Chris O'Brien to ride jumping from barrier five in a field of 13 at this stage.

The three-year-old Nuclear Freeze gelding has had three starts this time in finishing no further back than fifth, with a last start effort recording a 5th in a field of 8 over 1100m with Paul  Hammersley in charge, Damien has tinkered with some gear changes for this outing, he has removed the blinkers and has added a bubble cheeker to the near side.

Best of luck to all connections with their runners at Scone on Tuesday.
