Damien Lane saddled up Attitude Pays in the final event in the Cessnock vintage motors benchmark 55 handicap with Chelsea Ings taking 4 kg off the allotted weight jumping from barrier one.

On landing Chelsea had her charge out sweetly in fourth position, with Painted Gold settling in front, Tanzen was into stride early to sit second with Nextarule between runners to be third easing out of the early battle.

Coming to the turn the order remained the same with the field turning for the judge with first to last covering ten or so lengths.

On straightening Painted Gold kicked clear with Tanzen in pursuit but to no avail as Painted Gold led from start to finish to land the prize over Tanzen with Attitude Pays running third in a run with plenty of merit, showing that a handy return from a spell may set up a nice preparation as the 7 year old gets up in distance.
