Damien Lane will saddle up one runner in the form of Watta General to the Gosford race club meeting on Thursday, July 30 the weather is predicted to be fine the rail position is out 3 m the entire circuit the track condition is a soft seven at this stage.

Watta General will compete in his first career start in a three-year-old maiden handicap over a thousand metres with Paul King aboard jumping from barrier 4 in a field 9.

Watta General is a three-year-old Bay gelding, & is prepared for this outing with two trials under the belt the first of which at Wyong on February 16 finishing second of 7 over 800 m with Roy L McCabe aboard arriving 1.8 lengths behind the heat winner in a time of 50.83, and was last seen in a barrier trial at Cessnock on March 9 finishing first of 7 over 900 m with Roy L McCabe aboard landing the heat with a field of seven contesting in a time of 52.96 with last 600m in 34.50. Good luck to connections with a promising outing expected at Gosford on Thursday.
