A super effort was put in by eight-year-old mare The Brown One, resuming from a spell to arrive third at big odds under Lexi McPherson, placing over the 1007m at Taree.
Sitting fourth one off the fence, McPherson straightened for home to put in an outstanding first up effort to arrive behind, Jemily with Akamin second to the line.
