Damien Lane racing will support the Cessnock wine country race club meeting on Monday, August 25 with one stable runner to be participate under overcast conditions with a heavy 10 noted at this stage for the program.

Strategy Zed will compete in race six in a class one handicap over 1350 m jumping from barrier four in a field of 11 with Nathan Thomas engaged.

Strategy Zed is a five-year-old chestnut gelding and has recently appeared at Port on July 19 over 1212 m finishing fifth of 11 on that occasion and was last seen again at Port over 1200 m on August 1, finishing fifth of 14 with Nathan aboard 3.8 lengths off the winner.

Damien Lane has made a gear change for the gelding by adding the blinkers to his outfit.

The stable would like to wish connections the very best with their thoroughbred at the Cessnock meeting on Monday.
