Damien Lane will supply one thoroughbred to the Port MacQuarie racing club meeting on Friday, August 1st,  with the weather currently fine and a track  rating of a Dead five is in place.

The soul runner for the team Strategy Zed coming out in race seven in a benchmark 50 handicap over 1200m, with Nathan Thomas aboard jumping from barrier three in a field of 14.

Strategy Zed comes into this affair with a recent run at Wyong, finishing eighth of 10 6.6 lengths off the winner on that occasion, and was last seen running in a class one over 1212 m at Port McQuarie finishing fifth of 11, 3.2 lengths off the winner.

Strategy Zed is a five-year-old chestnut gelding having visited the Port race track on two occasions prior for one win coming off that visit.

Good luck to connections with their runner at Port on Friday.
