Damien Lane will supply one thoroughbred to the Port Macquarie racing club meeting to be held on Saturday, July 19 with a seven race program kicking off at 1 o'clock with the track currently rated at a dead four.
Race seven in a class one handicap will see the appearance second up from a spell of Strategy Zed jumping from an awkward gate in a field of 11 with Nathan Thomas a board at 55 1/2 kg.
Strategy Zed is a four-year-old chestnut gelding having had 11 previous starts for one x win and one x placing with career earnings of $8,775, and was last seen running eighth of 10 first up at Wyong over 1000 m on July 3 finishing 6.6 lengths off the winner when ridden near the tail of the field in a class 2, with the race time concluding at 57.29 for the trip.
Strategy Zed will be hoping to emulate his last trip to Port, which resulted in victory by 2.0 lengths over 1000m, when sent out favorite.
Best of luck to connections on Saturday.
