The Damien Lane Racing team will supply one runner in the form of Star Approach to race eight at the Scone race club meeting on Friday, January 23 with fine weather conditions forecast racing on a soft five.

Star Approach will enter in a class one handicap over 1200 m with Roy McCabe aboard the second up starter jumping from an awkward wide alley in a field of 14.

Star Approach is a four-year-old chestnut gelding having raced on 14 occasions for one win and four placings earning prizemoney in excess of $29,000, with recent efforts being at Wyong on July 17 finishing seven of 9 over 1100 m with Jess Taylor aboard landing 7.1 lengths behind the race winner and was most recently seen on December 31 at Gosford finishing fifth of eight over a thousand metres with Kassie Furness the pilot arriving 6.7 lengths behind the race winner in a time of 57.41 for the trip.
