Damien Lane will saddle up two runners at the Gosford race club program on New Year's Eve Wednesday, December 31 with fine conditions forecast racing on a good 4.
The first the stable runners Star Approach will come out in race five in a class one handicap over a thousand metres with Kassie Furness aboard jumping from barrier seven in a field of nine first up from a spell.
Star Approach is a four-year-old chestnut gelding having start number 14 with one win and four placings earning prize-money in excess of $29,000, recent runs have been at Wyong finishing fifth of seven on July 3 when ridden by Chris O'Brien in a class one finishing 2.4 lengths off the winner and was last seen on July 17 finishing seven of 9 over 1100 m with Jess Taylor aboard finishing 7.1 lengths off in a race time of 1:04.12.
The final stable runner will come out in race seven at 6:38 PM in a BM 60 handicap over 1200 m with Spinning Gold third up from a spell to be ridden by Chris O'Brien jumping from barrier six in a field of 10.
Spinning Gold is a four-year-old gelding having start number 11 with one win and four placings earning prize-money in excess of $19,000, he recently raced at Port on November 14 finishing third of 11 over a 1006 m with Ben Looker aboard finishing 3.1 lengths off the winner and was last seen at Taree on December 1 finishing 10 of 12 with Matthew Bennett aboard finishing 6.1 lengths behind the winner in a race time of 1:15.42.
