The Damien Lane stables of Wyong is no stranger to travelling their runners for an opportunity to win races and this weekend Damien has made the Gold Coast no exception with Choice Larga and Another Larga to compete on the Gold Coast on Saturday, 26 August.

10 CHOICE LARGA

Breeder: Emirates Park Pty Ltd
Owners: M J Murphy, P J Walker, P A Williams, A G McCarthy, M N Hancock, C T Porter, A Purcell, M R Fisher, June Rose Synd (Mgr: Ms A Murphy) & Days Off Synd (Mgr: S J Blair)

Choice Larga will run in the CNW Electrical wholesale class six handicap over 1400m with Jason Taylor teaming back up with the stable jumping from barrier seven.

Choice Larga is racing out of form at present, but he is a winner of five races. When last in competition he raced at Kembla Grange finishing 3.1 lengths 8 of 13/1400m and although he’s not been far away in recent outings he is finding it hard to get back to the winners circle.

He’s not won for over a year, but a move to provincial racing in Qld, could very well see him bounce back to form.

Another Larga will compete in the Kimberley Accessories no metro win handicap over 1800 m with Damian Browne on aboard jumping from barrier seven with a field of 14 to run.

6 ANOTHER LARGA
5 year old bay gelding (14-8-2012) Sire: Al Samer Dam: Larga Vista (USA) (Seeking the Gold (USA)) View Pedigree Report

Another Larga is a five-year-old gelding, having won on 4 occasions from 25 outings. He was last seen at Canterbury Park finishing fourth of 10/1900m arriving one length behind the winner after chasing right to the line.

He is suited by this distance and his New South Wales form is sound, Damian Browne could be the key if the gelding is ridden positively.

Best of luck to all connected with their runners at the Gold Coast on Saturday.
