Spinning Gold headed out as a fairly consistent galloper to the BM60 handicap at Dubbo in race seven on the card with Aaron Bullock on board jumping from barrier 10.

On leaving the stalls Cuban Lass led but was joined soon after by Spinning Gold Sagittarian was next with Brilliant Poet traveling in fourth as the runners competed in the Hahn Super Dry Premium event.

Upon turning for home Spinning Gold jockey Aaron Bullock went for home, stoking up the beautifully prepared runner, with the trainer/jockey combination already tasting success earlier in the day.

The horse responded on this occasion as well working to the line, to stave off the challenge of Raised For Battle in the concluding stages to do just enough, scoring the prize in advance of Raise The Battle with Laugharne in third.

Congratulations to the ownership group consisting of Grant Thoroughbred Holdings, Mrs G P Kelly-Grant, Mr D F Lane with a well earned victory in the second last at Dubbo.
