Spinning Gold was solid in defeat over a mile at Gosford arriving 3rd in a small field of competitors, Balmaceda took out the event with Billy Can running third in the BM62 hcp.
Spinning Gold was positive early and was taken on mid way down the straight, appearing to be gone, the runner lifted in the concluding stages, fighting back to be in the trifecta mix.
