The Damien Lane stable supplied one runner to Wyong with Spinning Gold to contest in a BM 59 handicap over 1350 m with Chris O'Brien the pilot jumping from barrier five with the last start winner competing against a field of nine.

As the starter let them go from the Carlton Mid sponsored barriers, with Lifou leaping out to lead, Global Domination was sneaking up underneath that runner with Spinning Gold two lengths away in third with Ostentatious fourth outside of that runner with six lengths covering the field from top to toe passing the 600m.

Around the side it was Global Domination punching up underneath Lifou as they started to up the ante, it appeared Spinning Gold was unaware of the pace picking up as Ostentatious moved into third position with Crown Moss racing on the PVC with Chris O'Brien and Spinning Gold just off the leaders until straightening.

Into the straight Global Domination had an unassailable lead and landed the prize, with a wall of horses lining up for the minors eventually awarding the Damien Lane prepared runner Spinning Gold in second with Crown Moss a whisker away in third.
