A sound effort was put in by the stable prepared Sharp Speedo, after getting out late through traffic to go down by a length under Jess Taylor beaten only by Nothing Too Hard for the prize with Picklehaub 3rd to arrive after the second race on the Newcastle card.
After tailing the race early Sharp Speedo improved on a last start 3rd at Scone & is certainly nearing a win off the back of this recent effort.
