Damien Lane saddled up one runner in the form of Pirate Ben to compete in race 4 in a class 2 handicap at Cessnock with Rachel King aboard the last start winner jumping from barrier seven with a field of 10 lining up.

From the get go it was Breaking Story the race leader Fraajmahal was second on the outside of Pirate Ben which was third on the plastic a length in front of Aperta, on settling passing the 1150m.

Around the side Breaking Story was the news at hand Fraajmahal was second off its rump, Pirate Ben was asked the question by king coming off runners heels with Pinneux looming up as a danger with the widest runner being Moon Symbol, under hands and heels after spilling the whip at the top of the straight, and as the field made their way towards the Yellowglen, Tooheys New banner it was Pirate Ben gaining the upper hand in the concluding stages to land the prize in a great riding effort by Rachel King, Moon Symbol landed in second a half a length behind the race winner with Breaking Story landing in front of Pinneux whom finished in fourth.

Well done to connections consisting of Mr E Hirsch, Mrs M Hirsch on another solid effort
