An outstanding final sectional was witnessed by Oakfield Missile with Grant Buckley driving the four-year-old Bay mare hard to the line to score over Fratellino with Clifton County third in the Paul McKenzie scaffolding benchmark 70 handicap over the 1350m gallop.
Sitting back in the field and almost last on straightening Oakfield Missile powered down the centre of the track to score, showing her dominance in the event and to plead her case that on her day she is not a mare to be reckoned with, well prepared, well ridden, well raced.
