A most impressive victory by Oakfield Missile saw the 3-year-old filly break her maiden in style today at Newcastle. After narrowly running 2nd last start, she was well found in the market and started long odds-on. Grant Buckley gave a great ride, sitting just behind the pace makers and producing her at the top of the straight. When asked for an effort, an excellent response was given and the daughter of Not A Single Doubt gave a devastating turn of foot and bounded away to win by 4 lengths.
After showing great promise at home, her trainer Damien Lane was feeling very pleased after the race. “It was great to see her win so well today. She has her fair share of ability so I’m eager to see what she can achieve.” Damien said. The daughter of Not A Single Doubt is an exciting prospect and we look forward to following her progress.
