The first three placings came from barriers 11, 15 & our runner from 16 to put in a pleasing performance, last time out Oakfield Captain left a wide barrier and raced without cover finishing midfield 7 of 14 at this track on March 9 am arriving 4.5 lengths behind, Asharani on that occasion the effort here by the Testa Rossa five-year-old gelding was ultra pleasing and proves “hard work pays off” giving trainer Damien Lane & Bruce MacKenzie a two-pronged attack for the final.
