Damien Lane will compete with one runner in the form of Nissile to the Canterbury Park race meeting to be held on Wednesday, December 17 with the weather forecast to be overcast racing on a current soft six.

The soul stable runner for the team Nissile will come out in race six at 4:40 PM in the 1900 meter handicap with Kathy O'Hara aboard jumping from barrier five in a field of 11.

Nissile is a six-year-old Brown gelding having start number 31 with four wins and seven placings earning prize-money in excess of 78,000 recent efforts been at Newcastle on November 16 finishing third of 12 over 1850m in a BM 65 handicap with Matthew Bennett aboard landing 1.6 lengths from the winner in a race time of 1:54.06, and was last seen at Taree in a BM 65 over 2018 m when ridden again by Matthew Bennett finished fourth of 11 3.2 lengths off the winner in a race time of 2:05.80.

Nissile has competed at the track on five occasions, distance wise three occasions for one placing, and is no stranger to a soft surface having started on five occasions for three placings.
