The Damien Lane Racing team prepared Nissile for race eight at the Kempsie meeting held on Friday over 1900 m with Matthew Bennett to pilot jumping from barrier nine in a field of 10.

As the gates flew back Nissile was out from the deep pressing forward to settle in second going past the post the first time round Sambora led them out with Heavens Riches in third, The Hulk was prominent as was Castlemagne King as the field left the crossing eight lengths from top to toe.

Coming past the 600m marker Nissile was given a bit more reign by Bennett as Sambora lead the field on the plastic Castlemagne King was between runners as Nissile moved up into third The Hulk was back on the fence, Who Is Game was making a run as More Than Aholiday was starting to take off 3 deep as the pace picked up rounding the side on route to the judge.

Into the straight Sambora led with a kick Castlemagne King was in hot pursuit with Nissile between runners boxing on as More Than Aholiday came through the gap to eyeball The Damien Lane commodity as Bennett changed hands the leading duo came together with More Than Aholiday resenting the brush to lay in on Nissile while the race fav Who Is Game came uncontested down the centre of the track, as they hit the line it would appear More Than Aholiday would get the bob with Nissile a lip away and Who Is Game landed the third prize pool.

An objection followed from the Damien Lane team as the protest siren sounded second against first and after some deliberation the judge elected to dismiss the protest, to semiphore the numbers 5-3-6. A good effort by Nissile who seems to be heading towards the better side of form.
