Damien Lane prepared Nissile for race five in a BM 60 handicap over 2100 m at Gosford on Monday, December 29 with the six-year-old Brown gelding to be ridden by James Innes Jr claiming 3 1/2 kg of the allotted 60.5 jumping from barrier seven in a field of nine.

On leaving the gates in the Narrara plumbing supplied sponsored event it was Nissile the race leader on the PVC early, with Hickory Lad  on its outside with Bob's A Dazzler on its inner as  More Precise took up a position between runners passing the judge the first time.

Hickory Lad decided to dictate terms with Nissile and Innes just relaxing on the rail to save up for the final stages of the event, Star Wars cruised up to second with More Precise bowling along in fourth, travelling around the side,  upon turning for the straight Star Wars led momentarily with a line of four eyeing the straight as All My Loving entered the fray as the widest runner with Nissile off the fence to allow some running room which on straightening enabled a kick.

A hundred from home Nissile bounded to the lead, and despite an effort on the inside by Bob's A Dazzler and All My Loving down the outer it was the Damien Lane Nissile landing the prize with Bob's A Dazzler in second and All My Loving in third.

A great Effort By Nissile to award the ownership group consisting of Grant Thoroughbred Holdings to secure the 5th on the program.

Well Done.
