Neon jungle ran second in a blanket finish when competing in the USMC Rats Of Tobruk Plate over a mile at Narromine on Sunday.
Landing in a forward position Neon Jungle was seated fourth behind the race leader Austin, with Sorry I’m Awesome & Bella LaBelle in advance of the Lane runner.
Passing the side Neon Jungle took over and led Church Square with those runners entering the straight in front.
Into the straight Church Square got the better of Neon Jungle, though the runner was fighting on strongly as 4 horses hit the line as one.
As the judge semaphored the numbers it was Church Square the victor, in front of Neon Jungle with Western Parade picking up the third on this occasion.
