Damien Lane headed Miello to the Kensington Turf Club Metropolitan TAB meeting on Monday, 9th of June with Kathy O'Hara to ride in the Ascend Sales Trophies Handicap over 1400m jumping from an awkward barrier 10.

On jumping Kathy settled her mount back in the early stages of the race to have only two thoroughbreds behind them on settling.

Sugar Rush led the field with Tarloshan in second, Slots was third, splitting in between runners with Irish Teardrop on the plastic.

On exiting the turn the runners were looking for the best part of the track to head for the judge, Sugar Rush angled to the middle and was leading the field with Tarloshan in second Slots was on the inside and Miello and Shazzas Bubbles were staking their claim  being the widest runners.

Coming to the line Tarloshan would prevail this time out, Sugar Rush finished 1.3 lengths behind it with Miello making a gallant claim from an awkward draw to finish ahead of Shazzas Bubbles behind in fourth.

The time for the trip was 1:25.88 with the last 600m in 36.80, on the heavy surface.
