Miello was the final stable runner for the Damien Lane team at Gosford in race seven in a BM 65 handicap over 1100 m with Robbie Brewer aboard jumping from barrier 11 in a field of 12.

As the red light signaled, the starter let them go with Miello taking a role towards the back of the field, in the early stages and on settling it was Sweet Serendipity on the paint leading the field out past the 600 with Mary's Dawn between runners Myseventeenseventy was third with Zero Cash positioned on the rail underneath runners in fourth rounding the side.

On straightening Sweet Serendipity was the pace setter Mary's Dawn out wide Vision Retract was off heals and Brewer had taken the shorts to make up many lengths off the turn to navigate under runners and set sail for the leader.

On the line it was the unchallenged Sweet Serendipity scoring a length and a half to Vision Retract bobbing out the game first up run of Miello in a pleasing return to competitive racing.
