The Damien Lane prepared Lucky Cash entered race 2 on the Gosford program in a maiden plate over a thousand metres with Serg Lisnyy aboard the recently consistent galloper jumping from barrier one in a field of nine.

As the field released in the redeye construction maiden plate it was Miss Zin Zin third up from a spell with Tim Clark aboard the race leader, Will This One Pay a first starter was in second with Lucky Cash prominently poised in third with Monsieur Affaire in fourth position with the race favourite Sooboog at a $1.20 on the Tote situated back worse than midfield as the field raced honestly towards the turn.

Into the turn Miss Zin Zin raced to lead Will This One Pay was gone, Captured shifted off the leaders girth with Lucky Cash moving to the centre of the track to mount a minor challenge, but as they straightened Captured was gathering momentum to finish strongly to win the second on the program with Miss Zin Zin off in second, & Lucky Cash landing third to nudge out Misty Shadow for the podium finish.
