Damien Lane prepared Hawk Eye Jack for Gunnedah race three in a maiden plate over 1600 m on Saturday, October 10 with Kody Nestor aboard jumping from barrier 2 in a field of 10.

Hawk Eye Jack has been in reasonable form lately and came  into this encounter after a  last start 4th, in this event the 4yo chestnut gelding raced worse than midfield in the early stages, until Nestor took control of the horse in the straight and raced through on the inside of runners to land second three quarters of a length behind Best Dressed Lady with Regents Park in third position.
