Hawk Eye Jack was the second stable runner to compete on the Taree program in race 2 over 1411 m with Rachel King aboard jumping from barrier eight with a field of 12 to compete.
As the gates opened it was Please Dance the race leader Ibelieveinmiracles was second on the outside of Hawk Eye Jack, whom jumped 3rd on the rail Grande Garçon was fourth with the field settling in the Saxbys maiden handicap.
Round the side the order was similar Please Dance was the front runner Ibelieveinmiracles will still prominent, Hawk Eye Jack was running alongside that runner with, Grande Garçon still there, as was Star Fest as they straightened for the run in it was Please Dance, punching clear and as they drew to the concluding stages, It was Please Dance gaining the upper hand and to take out the second on the program from Hawk Eye Jack finished in second with Best Dressed Lady running on to finish fourth.
