FIELDING has been mightily unlucky this prep racing wide without cover in both starts but showed his fighting qualities to still finish in the placings.
And today the Deep Field gelding was rewarded drawing a good barrier on the home track and Jackson Searle used it perfectly to sit outside the leader. Hit the front at the top of the straight and he lengthen nicely to score by 0.7L and deservedly breaks his maiden.
