Stable runner Eyota, ran a cheeky race at big odds with Matthew McGuren aboard in race two at Tamworth over 1200m.
Settling towards the fence after jumping Eyota was midfield, Akeelah was the race leader followed by Dylan’s Star with Barricade in third.
On straightening Akeelah was taken on by Barricade venturing back along the rail, Eyota squeeze through between runners and was finishing strongly however on the line it was Barricade the race winner to land the prize with Greg Ryan aboard followed in by Grundalina with Eyota running a nice race to finish in third.
