The first of the stable runners will enter in race 6 with Oakfield General to be ridden by Jay Ford jumping from barrier 2, 3rd up from a spell.

Last time out the four-year-old gelding finished six of 6/1400 m at Newcastle & will likely race on the speed in this and should be fitter for past runs but will need to improve on a 7.24 length last at Newcastle.

Race 7 will see Oakfield Private compete over 1300 m in the Mark Hughes foundation provincial and country maiden plate with Grant Buckley aboard jumping from barrier 4.

Last time out the runner finished at the tail of the field over 1400m when competing at Newcastle.

He has shown early speed in races to date and is currently a $67 to 1 chance.

Oakfield Captain will compete in the final event on the program in the Robert Thompson Cup for BM 65 handicap runners over 1200m with the stable prepared runner to be ridden by Aaron Bullock jumping from barrier 4.

Last time out Oakfield Captain finished first of 10/900 m at Newcastle breaking the maiden status and will carry less weight in this, & looks a sound prospect at $11 to 1.
