The Damien Lane stable heads to Mudgee on Sunday, 3 September with a seven event card to be run under fine conditions the track is currently rated a good three.

The first of the stable runners will compete in the Arrow Bone Marrow Foundation class three handicap over 1400m with the top weight and last start winner Mosaytion to be ridden by Ms Courtney Van Der Werf, jumping from barrier eight.

Mosaytion, last competed at Port finishing first of 13,  when settling sixth, chased on solidly, hitting the front by the 200m and coming clear to score by 1.83 lengths.

There is no reason to suggest he will find this any tougher than his last outing.

The next stable entrant will see Fanny Chenal compete in the Mudgee florist maiden plate over 1400m with the five-year-old mare to be partnered by Travis Wolfgram jumping from barrier 10.

Last time out she raced at Muswellbrook finishing fourth of 10 to Hayden Boy after being crowded at the start to sit sixth on the rail, tracked up in the centre approaching the turn and chased solidly without worrying the winner.

She was thereabouts last time out and this assignment looks no harder.

Race five will see Spinning Gold compete in the Red Heifer Bistro BM58 handicap over a mile with Travis Wolfgram jumping aboard the last start winner jumping from barrier one.

A last start winner at Gilgandra, Spinning Gold finished first of 12 when settling in front and was never troubled holding off the competitors to score by .63 of a length.

He is drawn to take the leaders roll, he will find this class a bit stronger.

Race six will see Kanguru compete in the Lawson Park Hotel Black Nugget Feature over 1400m, with the six-year-old gelding to be joined by Matthew Cahill jumping from barrier nine.

He was last seen finishing 3.2 lengths 5th to Lubiton at Canterbury Park with Blake Shinn aboard, when settling midfield on the fence he was crowded by the 700m, sitting behind the leader on straightening and battled to the line.

This is an easier race than that of last starts town opposition and looks to be a major threat in this company.

Best of luck to all connected at Mudgee on Sunday.
