The CNW Electrical wholesale class 6/1400 m at the Gold Coast saw a big effort put in by Choice Larga in running second with Jason Taylor aboard.
Easing just off the pace in the early stages, Agapanther led Alassak with Landmarks next followed by Palace Tycoon covering Choice Larga when tightened for room when passing the 600m.
Into the straight Choice Larga looked the one to beat but was grabbed late in the running by Lathario who scored by three quarters of a length to Choice Larga who was game in defeat with Cornrow the third runner in.
