Stable runner Cervinia put in a solid effort in race seven over a mile at Gunnedah today, to win with Matthew McGuren piloting the runner.
Passing the thousand Cervinia was taken on by Double Crescent, Righteousness was next with Torquay following in the Bective Station Somerton Cup BM65.
The order was unchanged with Cervinia and Double Cresent eyeballing each other on straightening for home, with Cervinia taken on in earnest by Torquay late, though not to be out done it was McGuren on Cervinia lifting each other in the concluding stages to land the prize by three quarters of a length to Torquay, with Valatia the next runner in.
