Four-year-old Bay gelding Bend It Like Benny returned to the podium at Muswellbrook over 1280 m on Monday, 3rd October with the runner to be ridden by Paul King jumping from an awkward 12 alley.
Given an armchair ride by Paul King early, Bend It Like Benny landed in a prominent position with Baheej the 80 to 1 pop challenging for the lead but that run was short lived upon entering the straight, when Bend It Like Benny went for home, but was grabbed in the concluding stages by Jamming whom landed the prize, with Bend It Like Benny landing a half a length in front of Iwatani for the second prize.
