A much improved effort was put in by Domesday out of Bella Stella commodity, in four-year-old Bay gelding Bend It Like Benny with a solid third over 1450m at Muswellbrook with Aaron Bullock the pilot.
After leaving the stalls in the two Rivers Wine class 2 handicap, Bend It Like Benny was moderate to begin, however the runner was pushed forward to lead the field under the urging’s of Aaron Bullock. On Passing the 1000m, Lady Marmaletta landed behind the leader, Bend It Like Benny, Ti Tan Tiger a well supported runner was pushing forward, coming to the outside of proceedings to take further stock in the running.
On heading for home, Bend It Like Benny was travelling well hard up against the fence, all eyes shifted to the outside however, as Ti Tan Tiger pressed forward to grab the lead in the concluding stages to beat home the late finishing Aerojet, with Bend It Like Benny in third on this occasion.
