Bend It Like Benny took part in race three on the Kempsey card with Matthew McGuren aboard with a small field to run.
Competing in the Akubra Hats Class 1 over the 1450m, Bend It Like Benny was given some rein by McGuren and lead the way early, I Wanna Be A Jeep, the well supported runner was second with Anghiari next Miss Zodiac followed, one off the rail.
Coming to the turn, I Wanna Be A Jeep loomed up alongside Bend It Like Benny & in the concluding stages of the event raced away to score by three lengths, Bend It Like Benny finished second with Miss Zodiac the third runner in.
