When ABOUT THE MOON came to the stable, she hadn’t trialled and raced in close to a year. We eased her into work before a trial where she performed well enough to go to the races and battled on strongly despite the long layoff.
Second up today and the Odyssey Moon mare broke through behind a clinical effort. Patrick Scorse used the inside draw beautifully to sit one pair back, with plenty of room at the top of the straight, she exploded down the outside to score by a length and a half.
