Kanguru resumes with a nice late kick to arrive in 3rd at Warwick Farm under Jason Collet to just edge out the stablemate Johnny Roo Boy for the trifecta.
Raiden won the event with Miss Liffey 2nd.
Posted well back in the early stages it looked like Kanguru was well and truly beaten for speed but the concluding stages were positive for the 6-year-Old gelding, who equalled his best result by finishing 3rd over the sprint trip.
Damien will see how he pulls up but on that run, he will be looking to contest over further next time out.
