Bombasay came to the stable with some fair form and Jason Collett piloted the runner to absolute perfection at start 12 to improve off a last start effort on June 10 at Canterbury when competing over 1200 m under Brenton Avdulla finished fifth of six from a wide barrier when beaten 4 lengths behind Cristal breeze on that occasion.
