The Damien Lane Team took Attitude Pays to the Wellington race club meeting, to compete in race seven in the Kitschs Hardware class 3 handicap over 1700 m with fine weather apparent, racing on a good three jumping from barrier one in the field of 12 with Alex Stokes aboard.

On landing Alex Stokes had her runner in a midfield position from a nice gate going past the post for the first time it would be, Nriangi out leading the field out with Dalstrat in second, My Sister Sue was hunting up in third position with Weekend Passion traveling  fourth in the early stages stringing out some seven lengths from top to toe.

Around the back 900 from home My Sister Sue had come around runners to lead the event Dalstrat was still prominent Nriangi was on its outside in third with Attitude Pays tucked inside runners in forth position waiting for an opportunity to participate under the urgings of Alex.

Coming to the turn My Sister Sue was the one to catch and appeared to have all off the bit, Nriangi was on its outer Dalstrat looked gone Raised For Battle was raising an effort and Alex had moved off the rail for a final assault off heals.

Coming down to the line My Sister Sue kicked well clear to take out the last by 3.8 lengths to Nriangi with Attitude Pays hitting the line strongly in third, in front of the fast finishing Raised For Battle in fourth.
