~~The Damien Lane stables will support the Port  Macquarie race meeting on Sunday, September 28 with overcast conditions racing on a Dead 4.

The first of the stable runners will come out in race four at 2:15PM in a benchmark 50 handicap over 1506 m with last start winner Barstow, to be ridden  by Sam Clenton jumping from barrier one in a field of 12.

Barstow is a five-year-old Brown mare with earnings in excess of $16,000 coming from two wins and two placings from 14 starts recent runs have seen her finish fifth of 14 at Mudgee over 1600 m finishing 3.6 lengths off the winner and was last seen winning at Tuncurry over 1400m x 4 lengths, when sent out as favourite, ridden by Matthew Bennett.

The final runner for the team will come out in race eight at 4:45 PM in the Merv O'Hara happy 100 class 3 handicap over 1106 m which Strategy Zed, jumping from barrier six with Nathan Thomas aboard in a field of 11.

Strategy Zed is a five-year-old chestnut gelding having start number 16 with two wins and one placing earning prize-money in excess of $13,000, he was most recently seen racing at Tuncurry on September 13 over 1200 m when ridden by Matthew Bennett on a Dead five strip, finishing fourth of 9, 1 length of the winner on that occasion.
