Damien Lane supplied Spinning Gold to the Gosford race meeting on New Years Eve in race seven in a BM 60 handicap over 1200 m with Chris O'Brien to pilot the four-year-old gelding from barrier six in a field of nine on a good three strip.

Ridden aggressively from the outset Chris O'Brien had the Lane prepared runner into a clear passage allowing Spinning Gold to take charge of the event with a solid effort securing the prize for connections to chalk up career win number two from 11 outings with 4 placings earning connections prize money in excess of $32,000, with the gelding binging up the win third up from a spell in a race time of 1:11.03 with the last 600m in 35.73.

Spinning Gold took out the final event on the card by 0.5 lengths to Gods Gift To Women with Source Of  Harmony in third, landing the stable a win on Monday at Gosford and again on Wednesday at the same venue.
