The Damien Lane stable saddled up Nakadoo Express to race one on the Dubbo card with a maiden plate over 1120 m racing on a heavy eight with Aaron Bullock aboard jumping from an awkward alley.
Leaving the stalls in the James Squires 150 lashes, the first runner to land was Tully Ho, Montanah Lass was next with the well supported Bernie’s Desert, also forward, Nakadoo Express was fourth with Annie’s Desire also prominent.
Into the straight the race leader was Bernies Desert, kicked well clear and with around 200m to go went on to victory in advance of Little Leena whom sprinted well in the concluding stages, with Nakadoo Express putting in the big strides on the outside to run home solidly, to gain more experience in route to a winners cheque.
