Damien Lane saddled up Kate’s Pearl to the final event on the Scone program with Paul King aboard the runner jumping from barrier (8).
Racing in the 1st Epaulette Yearling’s class 2 over 1100m the first runner away was Desert Marshall however by the thousand that runner was eased back by Murray to exit off the speed, the lead was taken up by the 14 saddle cloth of Fickle Folly, Joe’s Destiny was next with Dan Roy following, Fancy Nickers was back towards the rail with a margin of around 9 lengths separating top too toe back to Kate Pearl who had a mountain of work to do.
On turning for home Fickle Folly raced clear Fancy Nickers came out of the pack under the urging’s of Blake Spriggs as the fast finishing Kate’s Pearl was finishing strong under the guidance of Paul King, however on landing on the line it was Fickle Folly beating the game Fancy Nickers with a first up performance put in out wide by Kate’s Pearl.
