Damien Lane pulled the right rein with stable runner Mr Mcbat, by deciding not to run at Gosford on Thursday, opting to compete in the Wingham Cup at Taree over a mile with Ben Looker the pilot jumping from barrier 4.
Ridden towards the rear on settling Mr Mcbat was steered out of the bunch to gather clear running room off heels before a fine turn of foot saw this years Wingham Cup head to Wyong, in advance of Our Sarastro with Who Is Game in third.
