A spirited effort was witnessed by Another Larga when competing in the Australian Turf Club BM75 handicap over 1900m when finishing 1st, by a narrow margin in the final event on the Canterbury card.
Sitting 4th early the five-year-old bay gelding was trailing Token Of Love with Multifacets next, Arigold followed with Blake Shinn sitting patiently on Another Larga as the pace picked up prior to the turn.
Token Of Love took off in the straight though the challenges came thick and fast, Estikhraaj was introduced late in proceedings as Bowman looked to have timed the run to suit, Blake Shinn however, emerged off the leaders rump and hit the line strongly, driving through to score the last in a time of 1:55.58 with a margin of 0.1 recorded.
