Sitting nearer the rail, back worse than midfield Eyota was beaten for early speed with the pacesetter being that of Bubbaleenah.
On straightening Natural Predator went out after the race leader and although passing Bubbaleenah, was on in turn taken on by Marathon, who cleared away to score the maiden win beating home Natural Predator with Eyota the next to arrive.
