Fanny Chenal continued on her winning way this afternoon when she made it back to back wins at Wellington. Under the guidance of Josh Oliver, the 5 year old mare was positioned midfield on the rails during the run and was sweating on a run at the top of the straight. But as the gaps appeared she powered away in the final 200m to leave her rivals flat footed, scoring by 1.5 lengths and crossing the lines under hands and heals.

This is just the second preparation the horse has had racing over a longer distance range and may just be the key to her racing success. Showing no sign of slowing up, Damien will push on with her prep and see what else she has to offer. “The further she has gone this prep the better she has gotten so I don’t think we have gotten to the bottom of her,” Damien said.

Congratulations to connections.
